Pastoral Mesh and Wild Boar Prevention Mesh

Hello everyone, I'm Marco from Fenceshop, and today we'll talk about pastoral mesh, an agricultural product offered by Cavatorta in three different models. In this guide, we will focus on the Nodafort mesh, analyzing its technical characteristics and possible uses.

Technical Characteristics of the Nodafort Mesh

The Nodafort mesh is characterized by a strong hot-dip galvanization, which ensures a long lifespan thanks to the abundant presence of zinc on the wire. This model features differentiated meshes, meaning narrower meshes at the bottom that widen as the height increases. The meshes measure 15 centimeters in width, with heights varying from 5, 10, 15, and 20 centimeters up to form a square.

The heights available on our store are four: 100, 120, 150, and 200 centimeters, while the height of 80 centimeters is available on order. The diameter of the vertical wire is 2 millimeters, while the horizontal wire of Vivagno is 2.5 millimeters and features bends that add strength to the mesh. The mesh is knotted, making each mesh stronger thanks to a wire that wraps around each mesh about three times.

Available Formats

The Nodafort mesh is sold in rolls of 50 meters. However, for some models with a height of 100 centimeters and a sturdier wire, rolls of 100 meters are also available. Uses of Nodafort Mesh

This mesh is ideal for agricultural and zootechnical uses, perfect for fencing large areas and lands where animals can graze. It is an economical and practical solution for those who want to fence a land without spending too much. It is not recommended for villas or residential areas but is very common in pastoral areas like Sardinia and Corsica.

Installation

Installing the Nodafort mesh is relatively simple, with a difficulty level of 3 out of 5. The mesh is light and easy to handle, even on sloping grounds. It can be easily pulled by hand or using tensioners like ratchets. For securing, we recommend using wooden posts, such as those made of chestnut or fir, and staples or tension wires.

Precautions and Curiosities

The mesh has small points that can be dangerous, so it is advisable to wear gloves and be careful with clothing while handling it. The Nodafort mesh is also suitable for fencing areas against roe deer and wild boar, thanks to the robustness of the wires at the bottom.
