Chain Link Mesh for Dogs: ...sometimes we are forced to use it...

Hello everyone, I am Marco from Fenceshop, the Rete Plastic e-commerce. Today we are talking about fences for dogs, particularly chain link meshes and their alternatives. We have always recommended not to use chain link meshes for those who have dogs, especially if they are lively and biting. Chain link meshes, like diamond meshes, are not suitable for dogs because they can easily insert their snouts into the mesh, unravel it, and damage the fence. This leads to weak points that dogs can use to escape.

The suitable mesh for dogs

The right mesh for dogs is an electro-welded mesh with a tight mesh, like the one you see in the photo. This mesh has a 5x2.5 cm mesh, creating a barrier that prevents the dog from inserting its snout and hooking onto it. We have already made a specific video on this mesh, which you can find in the link in the description. This mesh is ideal for large dogs or particularly biting ones.

Difficult situations: sloping and wooded terrains

However, in situations of sloping or wooded terrains, the installation of a rigid electro-welded mesh can become a real problem. In these cases, the electro-welded mesh can be difficult to lay and the aesthetics of the result may be compromised. This is where the chain link mesh, but with a robust wire, comes into play.

The solution: T-Sport by Cavatorta

The suitable mesh in these situations is the T-Sport by Cavatorta. This mesh has a 4.2 mm diameter wire, very robust and resistant. Its structure follows the imperfections of the terrain, perfectly adapting to difficult conditions. This mesh is almost like a mobile railing, capable of withstanding extreme stress.

Installation considerations

Installing a fence in such difficult areas requires specific skills and it may not always be possible to achieve a perfect result. In some cases, it may be necessary to level the ground or build a wall to ensure a stable and secure fence. It is important to consider that it is not always possible to have an economical and perfect fence in difficult areas.

Aesthetics and practicality

Finally, when it comes to fences for dogs, it is essential to prioritize practicality over aesthetics. A robust and resistant mesh is essential to ensure the safety and protection of your animal.
